AVE - Adaptation, Vulnerability and Ecosystems
The AVE project’s main objective is to collect, synthesize, and use existing evidence on the benefits derived from ecosystem-based adaptation. Different actors at multiple levels are involved in developing knowledge and supporting different results, which will allow adopting an effective approach to EbA (Eco-systems based adaption) in the design of policies, governance structures and decision-making processes.

GrowGreen is a project funded by the EU Horizon 2020 programme for Research and Innovation to create climate and water resilient, healthy, and liveable cities by investing in nature-based solutions. SWIM - Sustainable Water Integrated Management in the Mediterranean
Funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the SWIM- Sustain Water MED programmes overall objective is to contribute to the security of water resources supply in the Mediterranean region. it also aims to enhance and institutionalise non-conventional water resources in partnering countires.

Central Asia Nexus Dialogue
IUCN is partnering with the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC) in this EU-funded project to support regional institutional strengthening and capacities for multi-sectoral planning. More specifically the project contributes to the development of a portfolio of investment projects that will look at ensuring security of water, energy and food (WEF) in Central Asia.

MFF - Mangroves For the Future
Mangroves for the Future (MFF) is a unique partner-led initiative to promote investment in coastal ecosystem conservation for sustainable development. Co-chaired by IUCN and UNDP, MFF provides a platform for collaboration among the many different agencies, sectors and countries which are addressing challenges to coastal ecosystem and livelihood issues. The goal is to promote an integrated ocean-wide approach to coastal management and to building the resilience of ecosystem-dependent coastal communities

Regional Dialogue on Large Water Infrastructures in West Africa
Through its Water Resources Coordination Centre (WRCC), the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has launched a project known as « Consultation on large infrastructures projects in the water sector in the ECOWAS zone». IUCN through its Central and West Africa Programme (PACO) has been admitted in the steering committee of this project supported by the Union.

MWD - Mekong Water Dialogues
The Mekong Water Dialogues is coordinated and facilitated by IUCN and supported by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland. It was initiated to work with countries of the Mekong Region – Cambodia, Lao PDR, Thailand and Viet Nam – to improve water governance by facilitating transparent and inclusive decision-making to improve livelihood security, human and ecosystem heal.

As the name says – the Global Environmental Flows Network (eFlowNet) is about Environmental Flows (eFlows), which refer to water provided within a river or wetland to maintain ecosystems and the benefits they provide for people.

GWI - Global Water Inititiative
IUCN Water worked with the Global Water Initiative (GWI) to address the declining state of the world’s fresh water supply and the lack of access to clean water for the poor. Together with Action Against Hunger—USA, CARE, Catholic Relief Services (CRS), the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), Oxfam America and SOS Sahel UK, IUCN worked on effective solutions.
