Abstract: The Goascorán river basin is shared between Honduras and El Salvador. Since 2011, project BRIDGE: Building River Dialogue and Governance has worked on promoting greater cooperation around transboundary waters, implementing an unconventional approach for hydrodiplomacy. The main challenge is establishing institutional arrangements that are sustainable over time.
